Janelle McHugo

Janelle serves as a human trafficking prevention trainer with HOP61, a ministry of One Mission Society. Through providing education, resources, and partnership, she equips the global church in their communities, teaching them how to build bridges to reach the vulnerable and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Over the past four years, Janelle has been serving those in her community who have been victims of human trafficking and those who are homeless, who were previously victims of human trafficking. She has also fostered children of a mother who was trafficked. The Lord showed her the importance of unity and how believers must come together in unity to prevent human trafficking.

Janelle believes the Lord brought her to HOPE61 almost three years ago because its teaching and training are the heart of God. Janelle believes that if we all work together to create a community where Jesus is the center of it all, human trafficking will simply not exist. She believes that God has given each of us gifts that we can use to prevent human trafficking if we are moving as one in the body of Christ.

Janelle and her husband, Tom, have five adult boys: Thomas Jr, Andrew, Branden, Kyle, and Zachary. Please join the McHugos by praying for their family and for the Lord to open up doors where the love of Jesus can be shared through the ministry of HOPE61.
