Committing to Prayer
40 Days of Intercession
God has recently been reflected in both the voices and the faces of our OMS family as we’ve been meeting in prayer together each week during our 40 Days of Prayer. Our World Intercessors team is praying more fervently and more frequently than ever before.
In the past 40 days, World Intercessors has lost count of how many prayer requests we've met to pray over. Our regional intercessors and I are praying then sending prayers to our field missionaries as their prayer needs are made known to us. These missionaries feel more like family to us the more we pray for them. A few on our team meet with me on short notice to intercede for requests that are impactful and time sensitive. We’re working together to contact as many leaders as we can and make sure someone on our team is praying for them.
Yet, there are still more to be prayed for. Is our intercession making a difference? We’re hearing it is! And it’s not just World Intercessors praying! We’re seeing more of our OMS family praying as well. People are answering invitations to come together and pray. Many are now stopping for 10 minutes each day, seeking God on behalf of OMS.
We have a committed team of prayer intercessors working together to pray fervently and frequently for our OMS family. God is providing opportunities for even more people to pray alongside us, and our OMS family is responding!
We hope to have a new regional prayer letter available in the New Year, and we will recruit those who feel called to pray for OMS to sign up to receive this and join us in praying for God’s work through our ministries and fields.
I am so blessed to see people growing in their prayer lives. One woman hardly dared pray aloud, but now she boldly prays for others!
